Byliner Inc. is a publishing company and social network built around great stories. We are an online archive of long form journalism and fiction, as well as a publisher of original stories for iPad, Kindle, and other mobile devices.
We’re located in the beautiful Presidio of San Francisco and are looking for developers to help us re-shape the way people read and the way they think about publishing. We’re looking for developers who are naturally curious and have experience building complex web applications. Must have a solid understanding of and keen interest in lean software methodologies.

Senior UI Developer
As front-end web developer you’ll be working on a wide variety of platforms and screen sizes and will also be essential in helping us rethink and shape the next generation of e-books.
We’re looking for someone who has a solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 and who is interested in responsive, cross-device mobile UI design and development. We’d love if you had experience with or interest in Backbone.js and/or CoffeeScript. We care about semantic HTML, responsive design and lean software development.
Senior Software Engineer
As a software engineer you’ll be designing and implementing new functionality and building out our back-end infrastructure, so several years of experience with Ruby web frameworks and MySQL, as well as experience with Redis and Mongo DB is important. Experience with API and procotol design is highly preferred.
