BedJet Review: How Does It Work and Is It Worth It in 2026?

BedJet is an air-based cooling and warming device for beds. It is attached in-between the mattress and any bedding on top of the mattress and works by blowing air directly into the space in-between towards cooling the body of the person lying on the mattress.

Some describe BedJet as a heater-cum-air conditioner and the reason is not hard to see. If the weather is hot and stuffy and you want your body to cool you down, all you need is to turn on your BedJet and it would immediately blast air underneath your bedding, thus cooling you down in the same manner that a fan would do. However, if the weather becomes cold, you can turn on the heating function so that the device will blow warm air towards you.

BedJet basically ensures that the user gets to enjoy a comfortable sleep all throughout the night with minimal to zero sweating, itching, etc. When the weather is cold, the BedJet unit will ensure that the user will enjoy a warm but cozy sleep.

Who is it for?

If you are a hot sleeper, then you should consider buying a BedJet device. So, what makes one a hot sleeper? Well, hot sleepers are those folks that experience high body temperature while sleeping. They thus wake up all warm, sweaty and uncomfortable. Their side of the bed may even be drenched in sweat and they may find themselves adjusting several times during the night in search of a comfortable position for sleeping. Such people will greatly benefit from the constant supply of air that the BedJet device will blow into their sleeping space.

Cold sleepers will also find a BedJet useful. The heating function that will pipe warm air in their direction will help them to sleep more comfortably. No need for them to shiver or curl up into a natal position while sleeping.

Moving on, those that suffer from night sweats (i.e. excessive sweating during the night that can even drench the bedding) as a result of one condition or the other will also enjoy the BedJet device. Menopause, alcohol disorder, and anxiety disorder are some of the conditions that can cause night sweats.

How Does BedJet 3 Climate Comfort Sleep System Work?

Air-Based Temperature Control

There have been three models of the BedJet device thus far and they are the original BedJet, BedJet V2, BedJet V3, and BedJet V3 mini. The BedJet V3 is the most advanced model but it retains a core feature of the device which is that it utilizes air-based cooling and warming systems. So, when the user turns on the BedJet device, it blasts air in their direction, much like a fan, thus helping the person to cool down. When the user wants to warm up, they can turn on the heat and the circulating air will become warm.

Dual Heating and Cooling Technology

As has been pointed out above, BedJet isn’t just for getting cool at night. It also has a heating function so that those that require a warm atmosphere while sleeping can get that.

Adjustable Sleep Settings

The BedJet unit comes with multiple adjustable settings so that users can choose the exact temperature and airflow rate they want. If you believe that you sleep better with a small dash of hot air before progressing to really cool air, you can set up your BedJet device to pipe in hot air for a few minutes before turning cool once more. You can also determine the percentage of airflow as well.

Remote and App Control

So, how do you adjust the settings of your BedJet device? Well, the device comes with a remote control. There is also a mobile app as well which owners can use to adjust the multiple available settings (biorhythm sleep sequence) to their ultimate satisfaction.

BedJet Key Features

  • Rapid Cooling Technology: BedJet works pretty fast. It pipes out substantial air in just a matter of seconds allowing the user to feel the impact almost immediately. It also has a turbo button for rapid heating or warming up.
  • Biorhythm Sleep Programming: This allows users to configure the device’s settings in a way that suits them. If you want cool air piped out slowly, it is available. If you also want cool air piped out rapidly, that is available as well.
  • Ultra-Quiet Operation: If you are worried that the BedJet device will function with a loud noise that can interfere with your sleep, you needn’t be. It is much quieter than the average ceiling fan out there. Additionally, it also comes with a form of white noise that further helps one fall asleep.
  • Dual Zone for Couples: The BedJet V3 has a dual zone category which comprises 2 BedJet devices, 2 remote controls and a cloud sheet (demarcated in the middle and stitched up at the edges) used to separate the bed so that two individuals sleeping on the same bed can enjoy two different temperature settings.
  • Wide Temperature Range: BedJet temperatures can drop as low as 19 degrees centigrade and go as high as 40 degrees centigrade. There is also a turbo heat mode that can reach 42.78 degrees centigrade for rapid warming up.
  • BedJet remote features: When you purchase a BedJet unit, you get a remote for controlling the device including increasing and reducing temperature, airflow rate, etc.

BedJet Performance Review

Cooling Performances

If you are a hot sleeper or suffering from any condition that causes you to sweat heavily during the nights, you will enjoy using the BedJet unit. It will pipe in air directly under your bedding ensuring that your body’s immediate surroundings are cool and comfortable. Also, you can be rest assured that the selected temperature will remain consistent.

Heating Performance

For cold sleepers or those that live in cold, wintery conditions, the BedJet unit comes in super handy. It has a heating function that will have your bed all warm and toasty in a matter of seconds. If you really want to crank up the heat literally, you can always go for the turbo heat function which provides temperatures above 40 degrees centigrade.

Noise Levels

The BedJet unit operates with little to no noise.  It is certainly much quieter than the regular fan or A.C. unit out there. Thus, it won’t interfere with a good night’s sleep or a good afternoon’s nap for that matter.

Comfort and Sleep Quality

The constant use of fans can dry out the eye and skin causing irritation and itchiness. It can also dry out the mouth, nose and throat leading to stuffy noses, sore throats etc. However, with a BedJet unit, the possibility of these problems happening are greatly reduced. When you place your BedJet at the foot or side of the bed, the chances of air blowing directly over your face (eye, mouth, throat and nasal passage) is reduced. Also, you can always adjust the setting to reduce the chances of your skin drying out.

My Honest Take After Using BedJet For More Than 6 Months

To be honest, I was skeptical at first, the idea of pumping air into my bed sheets to regulate temperature sounded a bit more like an attention-grabbing gimmick than a real solution to a real sleep problem. However, I became convinced almost immediately I slept on my bed with BedJet. At first, what I felt was a mild effect, nothing too dramatic, but after adjusting the nozzle and properly positioning it over the mattress as it should, the difference became noticeably clear like night and day, the entire set up took less than 20 minutes.

As a naturally warm sleeper, the stuffy, trapped heat I used to experience was completely gone within a few minutes of getting into bed. What stood out for me was the cooling control, I could easily adjust the temperature, timers, fan speed to my satisfaction through the app. Heating mode worked equally well on colder nights, I found my sweet spot after a few nights of experimenting and haven’t touched the settings ever since.

It is not a cheap product, and I understand this may not be for everybody, but for real hot or cold temperature sleepers, couples with different temperature needs, or anyone one who struggles to sleep at night, this is definitely the real deal

We absolutely love our BedJet. We sleep noticeably better with the temperature control and airflow, and it’s made a huge difference in our comfort at night. Even more impressive was the customer support — when our unit broke, the BedJet support team sent us a replacement within just 4 days. Excellent product and outstanding service. 5 stars!

I'd leave 10 stars if I could. I've had night sweats for 10 years. Nothing has helped - medication, cooling sheets, lighter pajamas. I've had to change my clothes in the middle of the night for a decade straight.
The first night with the bedjet, my night sweats were gone! It's been just over a week now and I still have not experienced night sweats since turning on my Bedjet. My smart watch sleep rating has also improved. One of the best investments I've ever made. A+++

They helped me when my product was misplaced and didn’t inundate me questions and paperwork. They were polite and communicated very quickly. I would highly recommend BedJet on their customer service alone! Thanks, Terry!

BedJet Cloud Sheet Explained

What is the Cloud Sheet?

The cloud sheet is an optional accessory for a BedJet unit. It is basically a top sheet made from 100% cotton which is designed to be used in conjunction with a BedJet. It is supposed to be laid on top of the mattress but under the duvet.

Why it improves airflow

If you use your BedJet unit with a regular duvet, it will only lead to air being piped in via one single blast. The air will now circulate naturally on its own. However, when you add a BedJet cloud sheet, the air circulation is enhanced. The cloud sheet comes with multiple interior airflow chambers that ensure the even diffusion of air thus enhancing the user’s comfort.

Single vs dual zone sheet

BedJet offers both single zone and dual zone cloud sheets. Single zone cloud sheets ensure a uniform temperature for the whole bed. Dual zone cloud sheets are demarcated at the center, ensuring two distinct air chambers for each side of the bed.

BedJet Pros

  • It doesn’t consume much electricity. In fact, it consumes the same level of electricity as a regular fan or even less.
  • Enhances comfortable sleep.
  • Reduces sweat and ensures that the body remains pleasantly drier, warmer, and fresher.
  • Doesn’t dry out the nasal passages, throat, or eyes.
  • Ultra quiet operation.
  • Easy to set up.
  • Easily controlled via remote.
  • Sturdy and well-built base unit.

BedJet Cons

  • Tad bit expensive.
  • Accessories such as cloud sheets are also not cheap as well.
  • The remote-control feature on the app can be difficult for first time users to figure out.
  • Doesn’t actually cool the air but only circulates air at current room temperature. So, people that live in really hot climes may have to get an A.C. unit.

Is BedJet Safe?

  • Safety features: The base unit of the BedJet device is quite compact and well built. There are no electric cables or wires sticking out. So, no risk of electrocution.
  • Auto shut-off: Users can set their BedJet units to run for a specific period of time before shutting down. Also, the device has sensors that detect when it is overheating. When such is detected, the device automatically shuts down.
  • Certifications: Each BedJet unit has UL (Underwriters Laboratories) electrical appliance safety standards. They meet the required safety standards for electric products generally and electrified hospital beds specifically.

Is BedJet Worth It in 2026?

There is no denying the fact that BedJet devices are expensive. However, if you are someone who finds it difficult getting a good night’s sleep due to uncomfortable cold or warm temperatures, excessive sweating, etc., you can benefit from a BedJet device. Now, if you live in a really cold climate, then the device will help you stay warm during the night. If you live in a warm climate, it will also be useful. However, as pointed out, if you live in really hot climes, you should rather just go for an A.C. unit for your bedroom.

Expert Tip

Do not look at BedJet as a mini air conditioner as they are not exactly the same. Instead, see it as a bed airflow system that helps you deal with heat, sweat, and cold feet inside your sheets. It is definitely worth it if poor sleep temperature is a regular problem, and not a once in a while issue.
