Mangekyo Sharingan

In Sasuke Uchiha’s case, he unlocked it after killing his brother, Itachi. He had previously been made to believe that his brother was a bad person who wanted him dead. He, however, realized that this was false, and this put him in deep anguish.
Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan Eyes
Sasuke Uchiha gained the eternal Mangekyo eyes after his brother’s eyes were transplanted to replace his own. This transplant became necessary because he stood at risk of losing his sight as a side effect of overusing his Sharingan eyes. He, therefore, had his late brother’s eyes transplanted, making for the eternal Mangekyo eyes.

The Rinnegan eyes are a highly-revered one and are regarded as the highest level of Dojutsu because of the abilities that it confers on the person that has it.
The person who has the eyes is regarded as a person sent down from heaven to further enhance the earth to destroy it completely. Physically, the Rinnegan eyes have multiple circles and have been variously described as god-like and godly. The first person to possess Rinnegan’s eyes on earth is Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki.
How Sasuke Uchiha’s Rinnegan Eyes Came About?
