John N. Mitchell, the only U.S. Attorney General to go to jail, and his then-wife Martha Mitchell, had one daughter named Marty. The former couple were married for 15 years before some circumstances suspected to include the Watergate Scandal led to the end of the union. Who is Martha Mitchell’s Daughter, Marty Mitchell?

Marty Mitchell is the only daughter of former US Attorney General John N. Mitchell and his then-wife, Martha Mitchell. Marty was born on January 10, 1961, in New York. Her mother had a son named Clyde Jay Jennings from a previous marriage, and Marty grew up with him as her only sibling.

An American by nationality, Marty spent a bit of her childhood in New York before she moved with her family from New York to DC when her father was appointed Attorney General in 1969. Marty attended the Stone Ridge Country Day School in Bethesda, Maryland, but no one has confirmed the level of education she was able to attain.

She reportedly got her first degree from Georgetown University. Marty attended a Catholic school for her high school even though she was not a Catholic. Her parents only sent her there to ensure she got the kind of discipline they wanted her to grow up with.

As the only daughter of a high-profile lawyer, Marty was well taken care of, as she could be said to have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her father, John N. Mitchell, was the 67th Attorney General of the United States under President Richard Nixon. He also served as the chairman of Nixon’s 1968 and 1972 presidential campaigns.
