Izuna Uchiha (うちはイズナ, Uchiha Izuna) was a shinobi of the Uchiha clan. He was renowned as one of the strongest shinobi of the Uchiha clan during his lifetime.
However, Izuna met his demise following a battle with Tobirama Senju. Tobirama struck Izuna with his flying thunder god technique and the 24-year-old’s chapter on the show came to an end.

Izuna Uchiha was a Member of the Uchiha Clan
Izuna, a member of the Uchiha clan, was one of the five children of Tajima Uchiha. He was born during an era when shinobi were always fighting and the village system was not established.
Izuna’s Uchiha Clan were always on the battlefield with their rival, the Senju Clan. Members of the Senju Clan killed three of his siblings, leaving only Izuna and his elder brother, Madara. The duo shared a close bond and both hated the Senju Clan for killing their siblings. Fueled by hate, the brothers embarked on rigorous training to become strong and avenge their siblings. They constantly competed against each other and would rise to become the strongest shinobis and leaders of the Uchiha Clan.

Izuna Uchiha’s age was put at 24 years old. The shinobi was light skinned and had spiky black hair tied back in a ponytail laced with a blue tint. He shares similar physical attributes to one of the main characters of the series and a fellow Uchiha clan member, his clansmen Sasuke Uchiha.
Izuna had his bangs parted down the center of his face to frame both sides of it. His entire physical appearance depicted his harmonic personality and his gentle nature. As for his outfits, he was clothed in the standard Uchiha outfit, which consisted of a high-collared, blue shirt with the Uchiha crest on his upper back and blue pants wrapped up in bandages at the ends. Around his waist, he had a bandage belt that held a sack that carried ninja tools.
How Strong was Izuna Uchiha?
Izuna Uchiha’s strength was known by everyone. His mastery of the Dojutsu made him one of the most dreaded fighters in Uchiha Clan history. To become very strong, he trained day and night with his brother, who also had formadable strength and skill. The brother duo possessed great Chakra that out-skilled Tobirama, who was considered to be the fastest shinobi of his time.
Izuna was at a tender age when he awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan to become the first ever member of the Uchiha clan to awaken it. After acquiring the Mangekyo Sharingan, Izuna had the ability to read and predict his opponent’s movements. As a result, he could easily evade most enemy attacks. He could also perform the Great Fireball Jutsu, a skill required to be able to stop Tobirama’s water dragon skill.
Izuna also possessed Kenjutsu from the simple sword skill he had acquired as a young child. He had the skill to handle a sword in battle and could outmatch Tobirama, a known expert of this skill.
With these abilities, it was no surprise that Izuna and his elder brother were able to quickly rise to take over the Uchiha Clan’s leadership.
Who Killed Izuna Uchiha?
Tobirama Senju killed Izuna Uchiha after he struck him with his flying thunder God technique. It is important to mention that Izuna did not die immediately he was struck. He died later on from the injuries he got from the fight.
The battle that led to Izuna dying began after the Uchiha Clan refused to accpet peace offerings from the Senju Clan. Hashirama, the new leader of the rival Senju clan, called for peace between the two clans, appealing to Izuna’s brother Madara to hault hostilities. Blinded by hatred, Izuna urged his brother not to accept the peace offer and the fight between the two clans continued.
During one of the many battles they fought between them, Izuna came up against Tobirama and was left mortally injured. While Madara came to his brother’s aid, Hashirama again asked for peace and offered to heal Izuna, but the brothers declined.
Izuna beleived it was all a trick to wipe away their clan and advised his brother against accepting the offer. The duo would later escape to where Izuna would die. Before drawing his last breath, Izuna made sure to give Madara his eyes so that his brother could obtain the eternal Magekyo Sharingan sight and help his clan in their fight against the Senju Clan.
