While Melissa was said to have lost her position as a mental health therapist in New Jersey, her older sister who as indicated, is a former actress, was also fired from her work as a counselor. This came about even though neither of them has been implicated in the crime of the brother in any way.
The parents of Bryan Kohberger have also been affected as they are reported to be facing serious financial difficulties. Michael and Maryann Kohberger were already retired when the offense was committed. Their support only came from their daughters who are now left with no jobs.
