Brandon Johnson was killed off The Chi after the actor playing his character was fired from the show. Due to how important Brandon’s role was in the drama, fans have remained confused regarding his sudden exit from the show. However, there is a pretty perfectly reasonable explanation for this sudden development.

Why Did Brandon Leave the Chi?

Despite his inspiring role in The Chi, Jason Michelle was entangled in several misconduct allegations and this ultimately led to his departure from the show.

Most of the allegations against the popular actor were filed by The Chi showrunner, Ayanna Floyd, and his co-star, Tiffany Boone. Boone was purportedly one of the many actresses who had repeatedly laid sexual misconduct complaints against Mitchell. While the creator and showrunner Lena Waithe had not had such an experience with Michelle, she claimed that she had gotten several sexual harassment complaints against him from his co-stars and had tried to resolve the issue by having a serious conversation with him.
