Emma Culligan may well be the most popular archeo-metallurgist in the world. No, she didn’t discover anything significant or make great contributions to her field. She is famous for appearing in the History Channel’s The Curse of Oak Island where she tests artifacts.
What is Emma Culligan’s Age?
Emma Culligan’s age is not public knowledge. However, since we are quite smart people, we have estimated it to be between 33 and 31 years old. How did we do this without knowing her date of birth? we calculate backward from the year she entered university.
Culligan became a college student in 2010. In Canada, kids typically start college between the ages of 16 and 18. Going by these figures, we were able to arrive at her year of birth being between 1992 and 1994.

Emma enrolled at Dalhousie University in 2010 to study engineering. She later switched to Memorial University of Newfoundland where she bagged a civil engineering degree. During her time at Memorial, Emma took classes in archeology, presumably as a minor, and loved it. She even worked as a research assistant in the archeology department. We bet she did not know archaeology would later make a greater impact in her life.
After school, Emma became a member of different professional bodies; the Geological Association of Canada, the Canadian Association of Archeology, etc. She is now a full-blown engineer, archeologist, and metallurgist.
Emma Culligan Worked For Frontier Subsea Inc.
Emma Culligan did not land her dream job immediately after leaving school. She first worked as a guest relations rep at a zoo in Calgary and interned at the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal in Hebbville. She then worked as a material technician at Amec Foster Wheeler.
Everything changed for Emma in 2018 when she gained employment at Frontier Subsea Inc.. This was Emma’s dream job and she was quite thrilled about it, often sharing her experience on Instagram. She has also worked as a research assistant at the Memorial University of Newfoundland.
She was in the 10th Season of The Curse of Oak Island
Emma Culligan became famous in 2022 after landing a minor role in Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island. Her role on the show was that of an artifact tester. In one episode, Gary Drayton and Jack Begley found a circular coin-shaped artifact made of lead and took it to Emma to examine. She was able to tell its composition and where it originated from.
What is it about pretty women and trending? Because Emma subsequently became all that people could talk about on the show. Aside from talking about her beauty, fans pointed out that she knew her stuff and it was nice to have a woman in a male-dominated show. SHow producers evidently shared these same thoughts as Emma was asked to appear in the spin-off show, The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down.
Is Emma Culligan Married?
Emma Culligan does not appear to be married. If she was, we would have definitely seen signs on her social media pages but there aren’t any. Also, we don’t know if she is or isn’t in a committed relationship, as there are no signs pointing to her having officially become someone’s wife.
No one would blame Emma if she chooses to shield her love life from the public, people can get creepy. But going by her past behaviors, she will likely share a social media post or two about tying the knot, and there is nothing of that sort on her Instagram page.
