What is Emma Culligan’s Age?

Certain details about Emma Culligan remain shrouded in mystery, and one of them is her exact date of birth. This makes it hard to guess her age, but she is likely to be about 32 years old. This estimation is done using the year she entered university, which is 2010.

Canadians typically start college at 18 though some start earlier at 16. Therefore, Emma Culligan is likely to be about 32 years old or about a year or two younger. She definitely ranks amongst one of the youngest cast members of The Curse of Oak Island, and the freshness that she brings to the show has contributed to her charm.

Emma Culligan is a Native of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Emma Culligan hails from Bridgewater, a town in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is of Canadian nationality and Caucasian ethnicity. It is also possible that she has some Japanese ancestry. She has revealed that she is quite fluent in Japanese. There are also pictures of her visits to places such as Tokyo. Therefore, it is possible that she has a close connection with the Asian country.

Culligan hails from a family of five. This comprises her dad, her mom, and two siblings, a brother and a sister. While the names of her family members are not readily available, Culligan never fails to celebrate them on social media, which shows close they are.

She has celebrated her siblings on their birthdays as well as National Siblings’ Day. There is also a picture of her mom on Instagram with hilarious captions. She referred to her mom, who is quite shorter than her, as pocket-sized, and stated that even though they sometimes don’t see eye to eye, they see heart to heart.

She Studied Engineering and Archeology in College

Emma Culligan commenced her college studies at Dalhousie University in 2010, where she was an engineering student. At some point, she switched to the Memorial University of Newfoundland and pursued a degree in civil engineering. Whilst doing this, Culligan also took some classes in archeology and was quite hooked by what she was learning. She, therefore, continued following both paths.

During her school days, Culligan was an active member of the engineering society in her school as well as the Geological Association of Canada. She further joined the archeological society in her school as well as the Canadian Association of Archeology. Not done yet, she also scored a role as a research assistant with the archeology department in her school.
It is not clear if Culligan has left school entirely, as she may have pursued post-graduate studies, but she has qualified as an engineer, a metallurgist, and an archeologist.

Emma Culligan is not all about amassing degrees but also putting the knowledge gained to good use, building up an enviable career. Culligan first worked as a guest relations representative at a zoo in Calgary from 2013 to 2014.

She also interned as a civil engineer at the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal in Hebbville during this period. The internship lasted for two years and three months, i.e., from June 2013 to August 2015.

Next up for Emma Culligan was Amec Foster Wheeler, a British multinational consultancy, engineering, and project Management Company headquartered in London. She worked as a material technician for a local branch for six months, from August 2016 to January 2017.

Another prestigious company that Emma Culligan has worked with is Frontier Subsea Inc. She worked there from May 2018 to August 2018. Frontier Subsea Inc. is a locally-owned and operated company based in Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada. She Joined the Cast of The Curse of Oak Island in Season 10

Emma Culligan is also a reality TV star, and this is thanks to her appearance on The Curse of Oak Island. The Curse of Oak Island is a treasure-hunting reality TV series that began airing on the History Channel in 2014. It follows a bunch of investigators and treasure hunters led by brother duo, Rick and Marty Lagina as they scour the Nova Scotia area for the famed Captain Kidd treasure.

Emma Culligan appeared in Season 10 of The Curse of Oak Island between 2022 to 2023. She helped the cast members to test the artifacts they discovered. In one of the episodes which aired in April, the duo of Gary Drayton and Jack Begley find a circular coin-shaped artifact made of lead, using a metal detector duty.

They take it to Emma Culligan (described as an archeo-metallurgist), who examines the item using machines such as XRF (X-ray fluorescence) scanner and an XRD (X-ray diffraction analysis) scanner. The purpose was to uncover the composition and the geographic location of the artifact.

The result was that the artifact was mainly comprised of lead and small bits of copper and iron. The lead was also quite pure. This led Emma to suggest that the metal initially came from either a mine in Iran or Sardinia in Italy.

Emma’s appearances on The Curse of Oak Island were well-received by viewers of the show. They pointed out that it was nice to have a woman in a male-dominated show. They also pointed out the fact that she was so knowledgeable as well as so pretty.

These sentiments certainly resonated with the producers of The Curse of Oak Island, as Emma Culligan was also asked to appear in the spin-off show, The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down. It is highly likely that if The Curse of Oak Island is renewed for an 11th season, Emma will be making a comeback.

While she may choose to shield her love life from the public, she will likely share a social media post or two about tying the knot, and there is nothing of the sort on her Instagram page.
