Jumanji 4 Release Date: When is The Final Level Coming Out?

It is believed that Jumanji 4 will be released around December 2024 and will feature the four major cast members – Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan, alongside other old faces as well as some new ones.

Although the producers of the Jumanji franchise have confirmed that there will be a fourth Jumanji movie, production is yet to start on Jumanji 4.

When is Jumanji 4 Coming Out?

Jumanji 4 will likely come out around December 2024 or beyond but definitely not before that time. One of the producers of the hit franchise, Hiram Garcia, has made it clear that a 4th Jumanji film is in the works and that they have been pitching stories. He has also revealed that they have a really big vision for the film, but production is yet to start.

One of the major reasons for this delay is the busy schedule of their major stars, namely Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. Dwayne Johnson, for instance, is currently tied up with the production of the action-adventure Christmas film Red One. Red One began filming in 2022 and is scheduled for a 2023 Christmas release date. Johnson’s whole attention is on that for now, but once he is done and dusted with that, he will have time to make another Jumanji film.

Fans of the franchise may thus have to wait a while to see their favorites get back to Jumanji land to fight various monsters, but the wait shouldn’t be too long. Jumanji: The Next Level, which came out in 2019, only took about five months to film before being released in December 2019. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) also took about four months to film and was released in December 2017. Therefore, much time will not be spent filming Jumanji 4, and it will likely have a Christmas release date as well.

Who Will Make The Cast of Jumanji 4?

The likes of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan will most definitely make the cast of Jumanji 4 as the story revolves around them. The quartet are originally high schoolers with various idiosyncrasies who get sucked into the Jumanji video game. There, they take on different avatars and have to join forces to come out of the game alive. They become good pals once they make it back to earth.

Other potential cast members of Jumanji 4 are Nick Jonas and Colin Hanks, who portrayed the roles of Jefferson McDonough and Alex Vreek, respectively. Fans may also get to see Danny DeVito, Danny Glover, and Awkwafina in Jumanji 4. This trio joined the franchise in the 2019 film Jumanji: The Next Level and played the role of Edward Gilpin. Milo Walker and Ming Fleetfoot, respectively.

Of course, the appearance of these Hollywood A-listers in the movie will depend on their schedules and availability, but it helps that a good number of them are psyched to return. Back in March 2023, Kevin Hart revealed that he and Johnson had talked about doing another Jumanji movie. Also, in July 2021, Gillan revealed her hopes for another Jumanji film because it was so much fun to film.

These sentiments have been reechoed by producer Dany Garcia, who said that the set of Jumanji is one of the most fun sets ever, with everyone so delightful, kind, and getting along like a family.

Where to Watch Jumanji 4?

When it is eventually produced, Jumanji 4 will first get a theatrical release. Therefore, the best bet for watching Jumanji 4 is at the cinemas. However, if one is quite patient, one can be able to buy DVD and Blu-Ray copies of Jumanji 4 a few months after its theatrical release.

Jumanji: The Next Level was released on home media just four months after the theatrical release, and a similar thing may apply to Jumanji 4. Additionally, one can stream Jumanji 4 on streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney +, and Hulu. However, they would have to wait for at least 18 months after the theatrical release before the film will now hit the streaming platforms.
