Where is Love Island USA Filmed and How Can You Watch It?

Love Island USA is filmed in different locations both within and outside the United States of America. In 2019, CBS brought the reality series to Fiji as its initial location. However, the onset of the pandemic in 2020 led to the show’s second season being set in Las Vegas. For the third season, the villa was situated in Hawaii, while the fourth season took place in Santa Barbara. Season 5 of the show, which started filming in early 2023, returned to Fiji, the same country as Season 1.

What is Love Island All About?

Love Island USA is a reality dating television show where a group of single contestants, known as “Islanders,” live in a villa together and compete to find love and win a cash prize of $100,000. The contestants must couple up and survive various challenges and “recouplings” to avoid being eliminated from the show.

All 5 seasons of the show are available for you to watch on Peacock TV. A spinoff of Love Island, named Love Island Games, was announced by Peacock earlier this year. The show will provide Islanders from the U.S., U.K., and Australia a second chance to find love. It is set to premiere in the fall of 2023.

When Did Filming of Love Island USA Start?

The reality dating show Love Island originated in the UK and became so popular that it has since expanded into a franchise, including Love Island USA. The show premiered in 2019 and has aired five seasons to date, each filmed in different locations.

The inaugural season of Love Island USA was filmed in Fiji at the Villa Takali, located in Pacific Harbour. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the second season made its way to the USA and was filmed in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the strip at The Cromwell. The third season was filmed at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, while the fourth season was shot at Dos Pueblos Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, with the Casa Grande building serving as the villa.

For the latest season, which began filming in early 2023, the show returned to Fiji in Oceania. Despite each season’s location changes, the show’s premise remains the same; a group of singles live together in a villa with the aim of finding love and forming romantic relationships.
