Mira Sorvino’s husband was born Christopher Paul Backus on 30 October 1981 in Mission Viejo, California, United States. 42 years old, he is of American nationality and white ethnicity. He was brought up together with a sister by his parents, Terry Backus who was a lawyer, and Teryl Backus who was a colonel in the US Marine Corps before her retirement.

Following his educational pursuits, he moved from New York City to Los Angeles where he began his acting career in 2004. Before becoming an actor, Backus had wanted to become a baseball player but he was forced to call it quits on his baseball career as a minor-league pitcher when he had a shoulder injury.

The first role he landed as an actor was in Benjamin Splits and then he got a role in an episode of Will & Grace in the same year. Mira Sorvino Became Christopher Backus’s Wife in 2004

Mira and her husband got married in 2004, the same year that Christopher started his acting career. The more significant thing is that by that time, Mira who began her career in the mid-1980s was already famous with an Academy Awards and a Golden Globes. More so, by then, she had dated other famous actors – Quentin Tarantino and Olivier Martinez.

Their love story began in 2003 when they met for the first time at the birthday party of a friend when it was reported that Christopher waited on the ”Mighty Aphrodite” Oscar winner. The second child of the family, Johnny Christopher King Backus, is 17 years old. He was born on May 29, 2006, in Los Angeles, California, like his older sister. Johnny continues from where his father left off as a baseball player who plays for The San Jose Giants in the minor league.

Holden Backus is the next child of the couple. He was born on June 22, 2009, in Los Angeles. The 14 years old is an actor who has appeared in Union Square (2011) and Hollywood Houselift with Jeff Lewis (2022).
