Classroom of The Elite Season 3 Release Date: When is it Coming Out?

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 release date will be in January 2024. The new season was actually scheduled to come out in 2023, but due to some challenges, the release date was pushed back.

Classroom of the Elite is an anime based on a series of light novels of the same name penned by Shōgo Kinugasa. It follows a young boy named Kiyotaka Ayanokōji as he makes his way through a prestigious Tokyo-based high school whose students are touted for their intelligence.

When is Season 3 of Classroom of the Elite Coming Out?

Season 3 of Classroom of the Elite will come out in January 2024. It will cover volumes 8 to 11.5 of the light novel series upon which the anime is based and will thus conclude the original novel series.

The events that will be covered include Mixed Training Camp, Spread of the Rumors, The Lass Poll, Event Selection Exam, End of a Year, etc. Season 3 of Classroom of the Elite was supposed to come out in 2023, but this was pushed back due to sundry reasons that the producers did not explicitly reveal.

Crunchyroll streams Classroom of the Elite in Japanese language but has English subtitles for its viewers. Funanimation, however, has the English dubbed version of Classroom of the Elite. This will be quite appreciated by those who do not fancy subtitles.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Classroom of the Elite are also available for outright purchase on the Amazon Store and Microsoft Store. Viewers in China can also catch Seasons 1 and 2 of Classroom of the Elite on iQIYI, a video-on-demand streaming service headquartered in Beijing. How Many Seasons of Classroom of the Elite Are There?

There are two seasons of Classroom of the Elite presently. A third season is expected to come forth in January 2024. Season 1 of Classroom of the Elite had 12 episodes and originally aired from the 12th of July to the 27th of September 2017. Season 2 of Classroom of the Elite had 13 episodes and aired from the 4th of July 2022 to the 26th of September 2022. It means that there was a good five years between the production of Seasons One and Two of Classroom of the Elite.

How Many Episodes of Classroom of the Elite Will There Be in Season 3?

There are currently 25 episodes of Classroom of the Elite, and it is expected that there will be about 12 or 13 more episodes, making for a total of about 38 episodes in the end. Season 3 of Classroom of the Elite will adapt volumes 8 to 11.5 of the light novel series upon which the anime is based, and going by past experience, about 13 or 12 episodes will do the job.

It is possible that there will be more episodes of Classroom of the Elite than what has been pointed out above. Apart from the original light novel series, which had 11.5 volumes, there is a sequel titled Classroom of the Elite: Year 2. It began publishing in January 2020 and, as of mid-2023 has accumulated nine volumes. There is every possibility that this sequel novel series will also be adapted into anime, making for even more episodes of Classroom of the Elite.

Then again, there is a spin-off manga series, Classroom of the Elite: Horikita, which focuses on Suzune Horikita, one of Kiyotaka’s close pals. She is described as beautiful, selfish, and intelligent. She is one of the few students who befriends Kiyotaka.

This spin-off manga may also get the anime treatment or at least, an Original Animation DVD, which is abbreviated as OAD for short. So, it certainly seems like there will be more Classroom of the Elite episodes on the horizon.
