Juvia has never hidden her affection for Gray and is even ready to fight for him, while Gray is more laid back.

On the occasion of Gray’s birthday, Juvia agonizes over what to get him, but when she finally settles on a scarf and gifts it to him, he barely reacts. It turns out that he is remembering his demised teacher, and they later clear up the misunderstanding.

2. Episode 225 (Thunder Man)

The 225th episode of Fairy Tail anime focuses on a period when Natsu and his pals in the Fairy Tail Guild are low on cash and jobs that can earn them cash. A relief eventually comes when one of their own, Laxus, lands a job to help rid the town of Borwataa of lightning that can potentially kill people.

Laxus heads off to Borwataa to do his job, but it turns out that the mayor has conceived the whole thing so that he can accuse Laxus of causing damage and ask for compensation. Laxus, however, deciphers what he is up to and is able to wiggle his way out of the whole ordeal.

3. Episode 125 (The Magic Dance Ball)

The magic dance ball is one Fairy Tail filler episode that would be perfect for people who are romantic at heart. This time around, the Fairy Tail Guild gets a gig that would see them attend a ball where Aceto, the daughter of a rich count, will choose a husband. Their job is to protect the ring that will help her in this task from a notorious criminal named Velveno.

Natsu, Lucy, and others make it to the ball, and in the course of doing their work, it turns out that Velveno has always known Aceto and is actually in love with her. The lovebirds reunite and declare their affection for each other.

4. Episode 74 (Wendy’s First Big Mission?)

One of the newest entrants to the Fairy Tail guild named, Wendy Marvell, a young sky dragon slayer, is looking for a gig that she will use and prove her abilities. She gets a small gig in the distant town of Onibus and heads out. Other members of the guild, such as Lucy, Gray, and Natsu, come after her. They go through so many difficulties to get to their destination only to discover that the fellow who engaged them doesn’t need their help anymore. Quite disappointing.

5. Episode 19 (Changeling)

Changeling is one Fairy Tail filler episode that shouldn’t be skipped. The Fairy Tail Guild members return back to base to see a strange request on the board. A strange light also overtakes them, and this causes them to switch bodies and magic. As they struggle to come to terms with what is happening, they discover the fact that they only have 30 minutes to switch back, or else they will be trapped in each other’s bodies forever.

6. Episode 127 (The Terror of Invisible Lucy!)

This particular Fairy Tail filler episode will have you laughing your head off. Lucy takes her bath with a magic ointment that she made a long time back and turns invisible. She wades through the street naked and causes some chaos, knocking things over. When she reaches the Fairy Tail Guild quarters, she overhears her pals talking about her and proceeds to cause pandemonium by messing with them and making them think the other person is behind the whole thing.

7. Episode 268 (Fairy Tail Zero: Treasure Hunt)

The trio of Marvis, Yuri, and Zera head off on a treasure-hunting trip along with a bunch of treasure hunters. Marvis is often scolded for her adventurous nature and seeming lack of care for her safety, but it is these exact qualities that help the team discover the treasure being sought as well as the clue for unlocking it.

8. Episode 202 (Welcome Back, Frosch!)

This particular episode has as its protagonist a cat named Frosch, that belongs to the Sabertooth Guild. Frosch has an absent-minded nature and is easily distracted. He gets lost while out with Lector one day, and members of Sabertooth start looking for him.

They shortly find him but decide to hold back so that he can come home on his own. He eventually finds his way back but not to Sabertooth but to another guild, Fairy Tail Guild showing he is not yet mature.

9. Episode 70 (Natsu vs. Gray!!)

This Fairy Tail filler episode falls within the Daphne Arc. Daphne is a tall sexy saleswoman who is out to capture Natsu for evil purposes and goes to different lengths to achieve her purpose. In this particular episode, she possesses Gray, and he goes on a formidable battle against his teammate. Daphne tries to claim that she is not controlling Gray, but her actions are bare for all to see.

10. Episode 9 (Natsu Eats A Village)

The very first filler episode in Fairy Tail also happens to be among the best. The likes of Lucy, Happy, and Natsu are making their way back from a mission and are quite famished. They happen upon a deserted village and are disappointed not to find any food. The houses and other inanimate objects start moving, and they attempt to eat them, but they turn out to be inedible monsters, and they battle them instead. After defeating them, they walk away while still remarking that they are hungry.

How Many Seasons of Fairy Tail Are There?

Fairy Tail has a total of nine seasons which aired over a ten-year period starting from October 2009 to September 2019. The first season of Fairy Tail had 48 episodes and originally aired from the 12th of October 2009 to the 27th of September 2010. This was about three years after the manga began publishing in 2006. This gap may be the reason for the low number of fillers in Fairy Tail.
