Goku is not stronger than Beerus, one of the 12 gods of destruction in Dragon Ball. Beerus has easily defeated him when they clashed in fights. However, with the continuous improvements in Goku’s power levels, he is now seen as more of a worthy opponent who may surpass Beerus in strength and defeat him someday.
How Strong is Beerus?
Beerus is so powerful that he can wipe out planets and entire civilizations at will. Beerus is one of the 12 gods of destruction in the Dragon Ball universe, with the others being Champa, Sidra, Heles, Quitela, Belmod, Rumsshi, Mosco (aka Mule), Iwan, Arak, Liquiir, Giin, etc.
The gods of destruction are powerful deities that are tasked with destroying anything or any being that they consider a threat to normalcy. For Beerus, he maintains balance in the universe by eliminating any threats to it. He is portrayed as a purple-colored cat who wears Egyptian robes and loves gourmet food, but his appearance doesn’t take anything away from how strong he is.

Beerus is so strong that he once defeated all the other 11 gods of destruction when they pounced on him in a fight. He is also so strong that he knocks out Vegeta, the fallen prince of the Saiyan Warrior race, with a single punch. This was despite the fact that Vegeta had almost powered up to the level of the gods. It is for this reason that Beerus has been crowned the strongest of the 12 gods of destruction.
Beerus has super speed, super strength, and fast reflexes. Amongst his abilities include the ability to create massive balls of energy and launch them at enemies. He also boasts the hakai technique, which can destroy not only mortal bodies but also the souls of humans and low-level gods alike. Beerus can also read the minds of other beings and influence them, even from a distance.
How Strong is Goku?
Goku Black, the protagonist of Dragon Ball, is a strong fellow whose power range is measured in millions and beyond. Goku boasts of super strength, super speed, strong stamina as well as quick reflexes. He also boasts of the ability to heal and bounce back quickly from his injuries. He can also fly as well using the nimbus cloud and Bukū-jutsu technique.
Goku Black also boasts of a sharp intellect, enabling him to learn useful techniques quickly, thus enhancing his strength. One of those techniques is Genki-Dama which enables him to sense energy in his environment, absorb the same as well as launch it out at enemies.
Another awesome thing about Goku is that his power levels are constantly increasing, and as such, he unlocks various forms such as Great Ape/Aozaru, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken, Ultra Instinct, and Mastered Ultra-Instinct. With each level unlocked, his strengths and abilities increase tremendously.
Is Goku Stronger Than Beerus?
The short answer to this puzzle is no, as Beerus is stronger than Goku. The two have faced off on multiple occasions, and the first time they did, Beerus was able to easily defeat Goku utilizing only a portion of his powers.
The second battle was much tighter, but Beerus still triumphed at the end of the day, showing that he was much stronger than Goku. There are, however, those that believe that as Goku’s power levels continue to improve he may get to become as strong as Beerus someday.

Can Goku Beat Beerus?
Presently, Goku cannot beat Beerus as the god of destruction is clearly stronger than him. However, it has been pointed out that Goku has a few advantages that may help him defeat Beerus. There is his ability to instantly transform, which can take Beerus unawares. There is also the fact that he could fuse with another entity and then come back and attack Beerus.
Another fact is that Goku is a quick learner who is capable of mastering the hakai, Beerus’ most potent technique. There is also the small matter of the fact that each god of destruction is linked to a Supreme Kai. If a Kai dies, the god of destruction linked to them equally dies. Thus Goku can take out Beerus’ Supreme Kai, thereby killing him.
