What Is Zoro’s Age and How Tall Is He In One Piece?

Zoro was 19 years old when the events of One Piece started to unfold and turned 21 years old after the two-year time skip. He also grows slightly taller during these two years, going from an initial height of 5 feet 10 ¼ inches to 5 feet 11 5/8 inches.

Zoro is a member of Luffy’s Straw Hat pirates crew in the One Piece manga/anime series. He is a skilled swordsman and the second person to join the crew after its founder Monkey D. Luffy.

How Old Is Zoro?

Roronoa Zoro is 19 years old at the beginning of the One Piece manga and 21 years old after the two-year time skip. Zoro is Luffy’s right-hand man and one of the important members of the Straw Hat pirates’ crew. However, before joining up with them, he made his living as a bounty hunter, catching criminals with a bounty on their heads, especially pirates.

Zoro was also on a personal mission to become the greatest swordsman by defeating the current title holder Mihawk. His priorities, however, change after he meets Luffy and eventually joins his crew. He also stops his animosity towards Mihawk and allows the latter to train him so that he can become a better swordsman.

Zoro’s Age Compared to Other Straw Hat Crew Members

Zoro is one of the younger members of the Straw Hat crew. He is older than the likes of Monkey D. Luffy (17-19 years old), Nami (18-20 years), Usopp (17-19 years old), Tony Tony Chopper (15-17 years old), and Nefertari (16-18 years old).

He is, however, several years younger than Jinbei (44-46 years old), Brook (88-90 years old), Franky (34-36 years old), Nico Robin (28-30 years old), etc. Despite being one of the younger members of the Straw Hat pirates’ crew, Zoro is quite a level-headed fellow. His personality is described as a stern and serious one, and he often comes across as distant.

He is not quick to anger, but if he does get angry, he loses his cool in a funny manner.
Zoro is also not the most expressive person out there and chooses to hide his emotions based on the belief that revealing the same can negatively becloud his sense of judgment.

How Tall is Zoro?

Zoro was 5 feet 10 ¼ inches or 178 cm tall at the beginning of One Piece. However, during the two-year time skip in the story, he slightly grows a bit taller, with his height now put at 5 feet 11 5/8 inches or 181 cm.

Zoro is frequently described as a muscular fellow of average height, but his height is slightly above average. The average height of American men, for instance, is put at 5 feet 9, while the Japanese are slightly shorter at 5 feet 7.2 inches, which means that Zoro is a bit taller than average.

Zoro’s Height Compared to Other Straw Hat Pirates Crew Members

Zoro is, however, not the tallest person amongst his fellow Straw Hat pirates crew members. The tallest member of the Straw Hat crew is Jinbei, the half-man, half-fish creature who is a whopping 9 feet 11 inches or 301 cm tall. Just like Zoro, Jinbei was recruited to join Straw Hat by Luffy. Jinbei is about four feet 10 inches taller than Zoro.

Another person that is also much taller than Zoro is Brook. Brook is a skeletal musician who is quite skilled with the Japanese sword known as shikomizue. He is 9 feet 1 inch tall, meaning he is about 3 feet 1 inch taller than Zoro.

Franky is also another member of the Straw Hat pirates’ crew that is quite tall. Franky is a shipbuilder and eventually constructs one of the ships that the crew uses for their travels. Franky is 7 feet 5 inches tall at the beginning of One Piece but later grows to 7 feet 10 inches which makes him about 1 foot 11 inches taller than Zoro.

What about Luffy? Luffy is initially 5 feet 8 inches tall but grows an inch taller two years later. Zoro is 3 feet 5/8 inches taller than Luffy.
