Bella Ramsey also suffered from Anorexia Nervosa for close to two years. Among them was her role as teenage Mildred Hubble in The Worst Witch. She played the role for three seasons but abruptly left at the end of season three and was replaced by actress Lydia Page. Addressing why they left the show so abruptly in an interview with Elle, Bella Ramsey disclosed that she had unknowingly developed an eating disorder while filming the series’ first season in 2017. Because it went undiagnosed at the time, she struggled through filming the first season and was reluctant to return for season two.

By 2018, she sought help, received a diagnosis, and started on a treatment plan all while filming seasons two and three of The Worst Witch. When she left the series in 2019, the rumor was that she had mental health issues. However, she cleared the air by saying that by the time she left the show, she had resolved a huge part of her Anorexia Disease but simply did not feel like the series was worth the effort.

Is Bella Undergoing Any Treatment or Therapy for Her Condition?

There isn’t necessarily any treatment for neurodivergence. Therapy, however, can do wonders and help improve the general functionality of a patient. We suggest this may be what Bella Ramsey has undergone to enable her function better in society and carry on her high-demanding profession. Unfortunately, the actress has not shared any information regarding what therapy she may have or is currently undergoing.

Fetal alcohol syndrome is not one of the health conditions and diseases we know Bella Ramsey suffers from. Caused by maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy, Fetal alcohol syndrome, or simply FAS, can cause brain damage and developmental issues in children.

Ramsey clearly does not have any of these issues as she is living a healthy life and exceling in her profession despite all that may be going on.
