Reincarnated Anime Characters: Their Past Lives and New Destinies

This concept of reincarnation often appears in Isekai anime, where the main characters are reborn in magical or parallel worlds. This new life becomes a way for them to chase dreams they missed, find lost love, or experience things they couldn’t before. Popular anime shows like Tensura, Mushoku Tensei, and Konosuba show how exciting these new lives can be. They let characters explore different paths and experiences, showing viewers the variety of life.

Reincarnation is a deep belief that says when someone dies, their soul is born again in a different body. Even though it might sound unbelievable, this idea is widely used in entertainment, especially in anime. People love the idea of getting a fresh start in a magical world full of endless possibilities. In anime stories, many characters get to live more than one life, giving them a second chance to make things better.

In these stories, beloved characters from well-known anime find themselves reborn, showing the cycle of life, death, and rebirth in a captivating way.

1) Inglis Eucus (Reborn To Master The Blade)

In ‘Reborn to Master Blade,’ Inglis Eucus, the main character, is portrayed as an apprentice knight. This anime revolves around Inglis being given a second chance at life to acquire a new skill. In a previous life, Inglis was a man known as the Hero King, also named Inglis, who emerged from an orphaned upbringing. He was chosen by the goddess and became a respected mercenary, eventually establishing his own kingdom. As he neared the end of his life due to old age and illness, the hero-king Inglis harbored a desire to continue honing his warrior skills, a passion he had dedicated his youth to. On his deathbed, he expressed no regrets about his selfless life but wished for a chance to pursue his dream in his next life. In response, his patron goddess, Alistia, granted his wish for reincarnation, allowing him the opportunity to master the art of swordsmanship as a reward for his service in defending humanity from evil forces.

A century later, Inglis, once the heroic king of Silvare, was reborn as a daughter in the Eucus family. Although initially taken aback, Inglis embraces her new identity with grace and determination. Despite retaining blessings from her past life and natural talents, Inglis faced a significant challenge. The world had evolved, and her knowledge of magic from her previous life was lost, making her ability to control aether unheard of. Undeterred, Inglis focused on intense training, mastering new ways of wielding aether, and becoming stronger than most skilled knights, even in her role as a squire.

Inglis’ thirst for combat led her to seek powerful opponents and magical creatures, a pursuit considered strange by those around her. This battle-ready spirit sometimes caused friction, especially when she insisted on fighting, even when she was capable of defending herself. Despite this, Inglis remained determined to refine her warrior skills, a dream she had cherished since her past life as a hero-king. Her strength and beauty were undeniable, but her penchant for challenging the strong, whether magical beasts or human adversaries, made her a magnet for trouble.

Yet, it was precisely this relentless pursuit that made Inglis an exceptional squire. Her soul, once that of a warlord, resided within the body of an angel, creating a unique and formidable blend of strength and grace. Despite the challenges she faced, Inglis remained singularly focused on her goal, making her an extraordinary and determined warrior.

2) Elizabeth Liones (Seven Deadly Sins)

Elizabeth Liones, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, was the adopted daughter of King Bartra Liones. She was the reincarnation of the Supreme Deity’s daughter, who loved Meliodas, captain of the Seven Deadly Sins. She was originally a Goddess who stood against her own mother and the Demon King in an attempt to stop the war. Along the way, she fell in love with Meliodas, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, who happened to be the successor of the Demon King and the leader of the Ten Commandments.

Their love story was amazing, but they faced a huge challenge as they were from different races. Even though they knew it was risky, they tried to make peace between their races. Sadly, everyone disagreed, and there was a big war called The Holy War. Meliodas and Elizabeth couldn’t go against their families as a powerful Demon King cursed Elizabeth to live many lives and die each time. Meliodas, on the other hand, was cursed with immortality. Every time they met, Elizabeth would die, forget Meliodas, and then remember him again before she died once more. This happened 106 times, making their love story very sad and difficult. Whenever Meliodas mourned Elizabeth’s death, he lost his emotions. The Demon Lord kept these emotions captive because he believed emotions were a hindrance for a demon.

Elizabeth, who was the Supreme God’s daughter, had been reincarnated 107 times. In her latest life, she was born as a baby after her previous life as Liz ended tragically. Meliodas, her lover, took care of her after her mother entrusted her to him. Eventually, they were found by King Bartra Liones and Great Holy Knight Zaratras, who adopted her as their own child. Meliodas was determined to break the curse and save Elizabeth. With Merlin’s help, they found the curse’s source. Meliodas fought the Demon King, breaking the curse binding him and Elizabeth. However, Merlin secretly reactivated the curse as part of her plan. The Seven Deadly Sins defeated the Ten Commandments and the Demon Kings, finally ending the cycle of reincarnation.

In this new world, Kazuma realized how strange it was. He didn’t have special powers or cool weapons after he died. He ended up in a strange team with a water goddess who cried a lot, a wizard who just blew things up, and a perverted crusader. Despite their weird abilities, Kazuma became a skilled tactician, defeating many of the Demon King’s generals with his team. To make this happen, he struck a deal with the human hero Kanon, the Great Spirit Reno, and the Goddess of Creation Militia. Anos agreed to sacrifice his own life in the hope that peace would finally flourish among the races.

Two millennia later, Anos was set to reincarnate in a dying unborn child. His mother, Izabella, prayed desperately for her baby’s survival. She was often teased by classmates for her quirks, like climbing trees and forgetting homework. She relied on her best friend, Acchan, for help. Katarina also enjoyed romantic games and once played a game called Fortune Lover until late at night, making her late for school the next day, which eventually contributed to her death.

After being reborn, Katarina Claes was very arrogant and easily angered. For example, she once got bored of a ribbon she had just chosen and threatened to fire the maids who helped her put it on. Despite her own behavior, she would criticize others and say things like ‘how rude.’ When she met Geordo, she quickly became possessive of him and had a crush on him even before hitting her head.

It then dawned on her that she was in the world of Fortune Lover, reincarnated as the villainess who was destined for either exile or death, regardless of the choices players made in the original game. Determined not to meet the same fate as the character she was supposed to be, Katarina resolved to focus on staying alive and avoiding her tragic destiny.
