Sasuke x Naruto: Who is Stronger, Naruto or Sasuke?

It goes without saying and every fan of Naruto will agree that the debate about who is stronger between Naruto and Sasuke is a very legitimate one. They both demonstrated strengths that have left their fans in awe. But in case you still don’t get it, Naruto and Sasuke are the strongest of all the Ninjas we have been shown in the Naruto animated series. If we are to answer the question based on collected facts, Naruto surpasses Sasuke in all aspects.

The debate regarding the two has been present among fans of the series and it seems likely to still persist for years to come. Nevertheless, we have managed to obtain information from the series that will show beyond reasonable doubt the significant difference in strength between Naruto and others.

Is Naruto Stronger than Sasuke?

Without a doubt, Naruto and Sasuke are the most powerful shinobi across the five great nations. But just as in every competition, there are no two winners, one has to be the winner and in this one, we believe Naruto is indeed the better and stronger ninja.

Fans of the series had waited eagerly to see who would end up winning the die-hard fight between the two warriors. This is also because even though Sasuke is naturally powerful, he has always been scared of engaging Naruto and his seemingly endless potential. Moreover, the series of fights they have engaged in so far substantiates his fear in a lot of ways because Naruto always finds a way to come out on top.

What Episode Does Sasuke Fight Naruto?

The fights between Naruto and Sasuke did not just take place in one episode seeing as how it has been a long time coming. Naruto Uzumaki had disputes with Sasuke Uchiha, which led to several fights in several episodes of the series. So, the most iconic of the battles between them was The Final Battle which was recorded through episodes 476-478.

In their early years at the academy, the two were teammates, hence many expected that they would be allies. However, the strength of their individual personalities made that impossible. This also meant that they would soon begin to have clashes that degenerated in the main battles that they fought.

Naruto vs. Sasuke Final Battle

It was in the 476th episode of the Naruto Shippuden series that test of their powers really came to a head. This meant that the battles became more intense and extended beyond physical fights to emotional tests. It also explains why their big battle began in episode 476 and persisted through two more episodes to end in the 478th episode.

The epic battle began in the Valley of the End, where Sasuke made known his intentions of becoming a villain and the most hated person in the universe. He claimed that he would do this alone and that with his Sharingan and Rinnegan, he could easily resurrect and attain immortality if need be.

The fight sets off soon after this when Sasuke uses all the tailed beast’s chakra to try and defeat Naruto. However, Naruto survives this with the aid of his Jutsu and weakens Sasuke in the process. Using the abilities of his Rhinnegan, Sasuke becomes even more empowered when he absorbed the Chakra from Naruto. But Naruto quickly called on the help of the tailed beasts and the powers of their late friend to counter Sasuke’s absorption of his chakra.

Key Aspect Naruto Sasuke
Overall Strength Consistently shown to have greater overall strength with various power-ups. Strong rival but often slightly behind Naruto in overall strength.
Signature Powers Utilizes Kurama’s chakra, Sage Mode, and the powerful Baryon Mode in Boruto. Known for Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan, Rinnegan, and the Cursed Seal.
Edge in Battles Outshines Sasuke in strategic battles and lengthy endurance, especially during major battles like Pain and Kaguya. Occasionally gains an edge in battles with advanced techniques, but Naruto’s stamina and power-ups often help him prevail.
Battle Highlights Defeated formidable foes like Pain, Gaara, and Kaguya; proved stronger in Fourth Ninja War with Sage of Six Paths Mode. Dominated in several battles, including against Danzo, and took the lead in certain arcs but struggled against Naruto’s power.
End of Shippuden Ended the series as Sasuke’s equal in their final battle, with both acknowledging each other’s strength. Also acknowledged Naruto’s strength but ended with a sense of Naruto being slightly stronger.
Strength in Boruto Lost Nine-Tails (Kurama), reducing his power but remains one of the strongest shinobi. Lost his Rinnegan, which also significantly weakened him, creating a near-equal footing with Naruto in their reduced states.
Current Debate Still often considered the stronger due to broader abilities and Sage enhancements. Now considered close to equal in strength after both suffered power losses.

Their Final Battle Almost Wiped Out Both Ninjas

The debate about who is stronger between Naruto and Sasuke was not helped so much by their final battle because both of them were almost wiped out. The battle started fiercely and each ninja was powering on full strength. But soon after, they were both hanging in by a thread having each lost an arm.

Then they are subjected to a sequence of horrific dreams lined with trance experiences. Sasuke goes down the memory lane of his childhood and gradually transits into the dreams of Naruto wherein he starts making sense of things. He begins to realize that Naruto’s wanting to become a Hokage is not purely driven by a desire for accolades but rather from a desire to fulfill a duty towards others. This is in stark contrast to his own reasons for why he wanted to join the academy in the first place which he considers the least selfish of all.

At the point of literally everything beyond reach, Sasuke is granted clarity and confesses to Naruto that he has actually been wrong this entire time but prepares the ground for a physical altercation by issuing a threat, saying that if he is to die he would cause the infinite Tsukiyomi to occur by cutting out his left eye and implanting it in Kakashi or someone else. However, Naruto would not hear any of it and says that Sasuke would be more than happy to work with him in getting the Shinobis working together.

Sasuke is also fully ready for this but still claims there is no promise that he will not be opposed to Naruto in the future. Finally, the two ninjas develop an improbable bond, and they both end up living together.

How Many Times Do Naruto And Sasuke Fight?
